Elves from the North Pole have coordinated with Main Street Washington and set up a special way for children to get their letters to Santa Claus. The elves delivered a big red mailbox just for Santa letters.

Main Street Washington Director Sarah Grunewaldt says the mailbox is in place in Central Park, “You can leave a letter to Santa in that mailbox and we’ll make sure it gets back to the North Pole express mail. If you leave your return address clearly printed on the letter or on the envelope it’s in, Santa will respond to those letters as quickly as possible.”

The deadline to get letters to the North Pole and back before Christmas is December 21st.
