A Washington man was arrested on a felony warrant last Friday.

According to the Washington County Communications Center, at about 11:18 p.m. the Washington Police Department arrested 20-year-old Willie James Brooks on a traffic stop at South 2nd Avenue and East Monroe Street. Brooks was arrested on warrants for possession of more than five grams of methamphetamine, a class B felony; possession of 50 kilograms or less of marijuana, and failure to affix a drug tax stamp, both class D felonies, all stemming from an April 30th incident, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. Further charges are pending lab results, and Brooks was transported to the Washington County Jail on a $15,300 cash only bond. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
