Louisa County Ambulance Service is in need of volunteers.
LCA Public Relations Chair Aimee Boul says they could use ambulance drivers, emergency medical technicians and paramedics, “We could use any and everybody really. When I says we’re volunteers that means we volunteer hours to take call time. It takes a slew of us to make sure that every hour around the clock, seven days a week is covered. So, we could use quite a few.”
Boul says volunteers can set their own hours, the LCA provides training, and they also have sleeping quarters available for those needing to stay at the base. She says volunteers must be able to pass a background check. To volunteer or for more information, call 319-728-7740.
