A home quadrangular meet was on tap for the Washington wrestling team last night and the Demons fell in a trio of matches.

Washington lost to Fairfield 48-24, Keokuk 42-36, and Ottumwa 63-18. Despite the dual losses the Orange and Black won eight of 20 contested matches on the evening. In his first year wrestling, Jacob Miller is coming along at 138 lbs and the junior won all three of his matches by fall in a combined 8:43. Robert Bennett had a pair of pins at 160 lbs in a combined 6:33 and Ayden Frazer’s two falls at 170 lbs added up to 4:06. Jacob Hill had the other win for the team at 182 lbs. 

The Demons close out the first half of the season tomorrow at Fort Madison for a tournament.
