The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls wrestlers are back on the mat tonight when they travel to Anamosa for a tournament. This is already the second tournament of 2021 for the Golden Hawk girls after they traveled to North Scott with the junior varsity boys Saturday. Mid-Prairie had a big day at the Lancer Invitational, crowing four champions in Bronwyn Brenneman, Caitlyn Busch, Mia Garvey and Sarah Meader. The Golden Hawks have two ranked wrestlers in their lineup with Meader No. 5 at 152lbs and Garvey No. 6 at 138lbs according to iawrestle.com. The Hawks will be joined in Anamosa tonight by Davenport Assumption, Benton Community, Cedar Falls, Central City, Central Elkader, Charles City, Clayton Ridge, Denver Tripoli, Dubuque Senior, Dubuque Wahlert, Durant, East Buchanan, Independence, Iowa Valley, Cedar Rapids Kennedy, Linn-Mar, MFL MarMac, Marion, Mount Vernon, Muscatine, North Cedar, Solon, Vinton-Shellsburg, Waverly-Shell  Rock, West Liberty, Western Dubuque and Wilton. Action starts at 5p.m. and continues into the evening at Anamosa High School.
