A Brighton man was arrested following a foot chase in the city of Washington Sunday afternoon.

According to the Washington Police Department, at about 1:03 p.m. an officer attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no license plates at the intersection of East 7th Street and North 3rd Avenue, and a foot chase then ensued. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office also assisted in locating the subject, 40-year-old Ehren David Schneider, who was arrested and charged with possession of burglar’s tools, an aggravated misdemeanor, and interference with official acts, a simple misdemeanor. Charges are pending lab results for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, and further charges are pending contact with the County Attorney’s Office. Schneider is also wanted on a local charge of domestic abuse assault third or subsequent offense, a class D felony. Schneider is being held without bond at the Washington County Jail.
