Washington County-area agencies responded to three vehicle incidents within a half hour on Highway 218 Monday morning.

According to the Washington County Communications Center, at about 11:21 a.m. the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa State Patrol, Ainsworth Fire and QRS, Washington County Rescue, and Washington County Ambulance Service responded to a vehicle that rolled into the median on Highway 218 near Highway 92 in Ainsworth, with two people who were trapped. Washington County Ambulance Service transported one person to Washington County Hospital.

At 11:29 a.m. the sheriff’s office, Riverside Fire and QRS and Washington County Ambulance Service responded to a rollover on Highway 218 north of exit 80 near Riverside. According to the sheriff’s office, David H. Coleman of West Burlington was driving a Kia Sorento northbound when he attempted to change lanes and entered the center median. The vehicle overturned and came to rest on the passenger side. The vehicle was towed from the scene, and one person was transported to the University of Iowa Hospital.

A two-vehicle incident occurred about a quarter mile south of the first rollover on Highways 218 and 92 in Ainsworth at about 11:34 a.m., and no injuries were reported.
