Washington’s Central Park is sure to have several events happening this spring and summer.
The Washington City Council approved several event requests utilizing the downtown square during their most recent meeting. Washington County Hospital and Clinics is planning to hold their annual KidzFest with the theme “Hiking to Health” on May 21st. WCHC Special Events Coordinator Greta Clemons noted that they will not be holding a rain location at the high school out of concern for the pandemic. Washington Chamber of Commerce Event Coordinator Alisha Davis presented several event requests, including a spring edition of their craft fair on May 8th with a rain date of May 15, Thursday Night Live, the Summer Classic on June 4th-5th, the Chair-A-Thon Auction on July 29th, and the fall craft fair on September 11th. The council also approved a Palm Sunday parade request for tomorrow, and requests for worship in Central Park from the United Presbyterian Church from 9:30-11:30 a.m. May 30th, June 27th, July 25th, and August 29th.
