A New London man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison on drug charges.
Acting United States Attorney for the Southern District of Iowa Richard D. Westphal announced that 43-year-old Jason Earl Davis was sentenced by U.S. District Court Chief Judge John A. Jarvey to 240 months in prison for conspiracy to distribute controlled substances. Following his prison term, Davis also was ordered to serve five years of supervised release and pay $100 to the Crime Victims’ Fund.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office began investigating Davis in 2018 when law enforcement identified Davis as a supplier of methamphetamine in the southeast Iowa area. As part of his drug trafficking activities, Davis maintained a premise for the purpose of manufacturing and distributing controlled substances. Davis also had a prior federal conviction related to drug trafficking.
