A chilly night in Mount Pleasant saw the Washington and Mid-Prairie track teams competing in an early season coed meet.

There were no team scores kept, but the Golden Hawk girls nabbed the top spot in three different events. Mitzi Evans was the 400m dash champ in 59.32 seconds, the 4x100m relay team of Amber Swart, Alyssa McDowell, Maddie Edgington, and Amara Jones placed first in 51.74 seconds, and the 4x400m team of Evans, Ella Groenwold, Maya Nonnenmann, and Behla Schmidt won in 4:29. Second place Golden Hawk finishes included Evans in the 800m (2:26), Ana Fleming in the 1500m (5:28), Groenwold in the high jump (5’2’’), Tori Boyse in the shot put (35’5’’), and the 4x800m relay team (10:57). Molly Klinzman led the Demons with a pair of third place finishes in the 200m (28.45) and 100m hurdles (17.81). She also placed fourth in the 100m (13.83), Grace Voss was fifth in the 800m (2:43), and the 4x800m relay team was fifth (11:17). 

Cain Brown was the lone Golden Hawk boys champ by winning the high jump with a leap of 6’4’’. Second place events included Jamie Stutzman in the 800m (2:04) and 3200m (10:08), Clarke Latchem in the 400m hurdles (1:00), the 4x100m relay (45.64), and the 4x200m relay (1:35). Lance Sobaski was another two event champion for the Demons having the fastest time in the 3200m (9:54) and 800m (2:03). Elijah Morris placed first in the 400m dash (51.74). Ethan Patterson was second in the 400m (52.58), 4x800m second (9:11), and Patterson third in the 200m (24.59).
