The first home meet of the season ended in wins for the Sigourney golf teams on Thursday when they beat South Iowa Cedar League foe Belle Plaine.

The Savage boys shot a nine-hole score of 186 compared to a 237 for the Plainsmen. Josh Mohr tied for meet medalist with a 43, Clay Morse cashed in with a 47, Brock Halleran 48, and Cade Streigle 48. Scratch scores included Levi Crawford 51 and Ethan Shifflett 53. The Belle Plaine girls did not have enough for a team score so the Savages won with a 222. Madelynn Hornback was meet medalist with a 47, Lilly Schmidt recorded a 55, Sidney Morse 58, and Claire Svenby 62. Other performances included Reggie Talbert 64 and Maizy Cowman 71. 

The Savages get back on the course Monday hosting a triangular.
