Making some noise in the early part of the season is exactly what the Keota boys’ golf team is doing, as they won their second meet of the week on Thursday by beating Iowa Valley and North Mahaska in a Marengo triangular.

The Eagles shot a nine-hole score of 177 to beat out North Mahaska’s 182 and Iowa Valley’s 212. Luke Hammen was meet-medalist with a 40 and Sawyer Stout was runner-up with a 44. Drew Sieren shot a 46 and Colten Clarahan rounded out the scoring with a 47. Scratch scores included Cole Kindred 48 and Max Johnson 49.

The Eagles look for another win today when they host Montezuma at Lagos Acres Golf Course.
