A Cedar Rapids man was arrested on a felony charge after an incident last Friday at the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort.
Court documents show at about 2:30 p.m. a Washington County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the casino for a report of a male with a knife. The deputy met with casino security at the hotel entrance along with the suspect, 50-year-old Bradley James Emerson. A witness stated he saw Emerson and a woman yelling at each other in the casino parking lot, and Emerson was observed to be holding a large knife. The woman was then seen getting into a U-Haul truck with Emerson. The witness then called for help from security. Emerson first stated he was not holding a knife at all, but then stated he was holding a knife to cut rope. Emerson was charged with intimidation with a dangerous weapon, a class D felony, and was taken into custody at the Washington County Jail. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
