The Golden Hawk girls soccer team takes the pitch tonight in Mediapolis against the Bullettes. Mid-Prairie stands at 5-3 on the year after a 5-1 setback against Union, La Porte City in Wellman on Monday. Mid-Prairie got their lone goal from Sophia Baker in the contest. For the season, the Hawks are led by Esther Hughes with 13 goals, seventh most in class 1A. Kaitlin Martin leads the Golden Hawks with five assists. In goal, Emily Swartzentruber has made 44 saves with a 72.1% save percentage.

Mediapolis is 2-5 on the season, beating Fairfield on Tuesday 3-2 with Brooke Willems supplying a hat trick to lead the way. On the season the Bullettes are paced by Willems with four goals. Ella Russell and Hadley Johnson each have two assists. In goal, Tayler Schnedler has 106 saves and an 81.5% save percentage. These two schools have split their last four meetings with Mid-Prairie winning 6-4 in 2019. Action starts tonight at 5p.m. at Mediapolis High School.
