The Washington boys’ golf team traveled to Fort Madison for a triangular meet at Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course on Thursday and the Demons came away with a split.
The Demons shot the back nine of the course and finished with 178 strokes to beat Fort Madison’s 212, but falling short of Mount Pleasant’s 168. Roman Roth was runner-up meet medalist with a 41 including having a birdie on hole 15. Teague Mayer carded a 44, Isaac Vetter 46, and John Prochaska 47. Scratch scores were Luke Beenblossom 48 and Grant Sobaski 51.
Washington gets back at it Tuesday at Fairfield for the Southeast Conference meet.
