The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks and Hillcrest Academy Raven golf teams will both compete against one another and West Liberty. The Golden Hawks enter action after dropping a River Valley Conference dual to Durant on the road Monday 188 to 196 despite a medalist round of 41 from Dominic McCain. On the year the Hawks are shooting a 200 average per nine holes with McCain’s 38 leading the way.
Hillcrest was last on the course Saturday where they were fifth at the Central Lee Invitational in Donnellson, firing a round of 391 in 18-holes. London Schrock finished fourth to lead Hillcrest with an 87. For the season, Hillcrest is shooting a 212 average per nine holes with Luke Schrock’s 46 leading the Ravens.
West Liberty was last in action at Wahkonsa against Wilton Monday shooting a 201 for nine holes. On the year the Comets have an average of 202 per nine holes led by Collin Cassady at 49.
The Mid-Prairie girls were edged by Durant on Monday 221-222. Madelyn Bender led the Hawks with a 51 average to finish as medalist runner-up. On the year the Hawks have a 237 average per nine holes with Bender’s 58 leading the way.
West Liberty lost a dual to Wilton Monday 215 to 225. On the season the Comets have a 242 team average per nine holes with Aly Hamed in the lead with a 52 average. Action starts at 3:30 this afternoon and continues into the evening in Riverside for the girls, the boys teams take the course in Kalona at 4p.m.
