The Mid-Prairie boys and girls golf teams dropped River Valley Conference duals to Durant on Monday. The Golden Hawk boys traveled to Wahkonsa and fell 188 to 196. Dominic McCain was meet medalist with his round of 41. Other scores for the Hawks included Drew Schlabaugh 45, Ben Mattes 54, Ian Schmidt 56, Warren Scarff 57 and Aiden Bush 58.

The Golden Hawk girls were nipped by Durant by a shot 221-222. Mid-Prairie was led by Madelyn Bender with a medalist runner-up round of 51. She spoke after the meet about her round. “I was shooting for a goal of being in the low 50s today. Hole eight was my best of the day, I put my tee shot on the green and finished with par.”

Other scores for Mid-Prairie included Madi Davidson 53, Alexa Huber 56, Gabi Robertson 62, Elliot Debler and Madison Witthoft 66 and Claire Zirkelbach 71.
