columbus-logo3-2

A home Southeast Iowa Super Conference victory is what the Columbus Community boys’ soccer team accomplished on Friday when they welcomed Danville to town and came away with a 5-1 win.

The Wildcats controlled this one right from the start by jumping out to a 4-0 halftime lead and the Bears (2-2) never threatened to make it close. Javier Panchillo had himself a night with four goals and assisting on the other. Gary Molina had the other tally and managed one assist. Freshman Jacob Haines did his job in goal with six saves.

Columbus improves to 7-4 and hosts Washington on Thursday.
