The road back to state begins today for the Washington girls’ golf team when they travel to Edmundson Golf Course in Oskaloosa for a class 3A regional final.
The Demons need to crack the top two to advance to next week’s state meet and the 11 other teams competing include Centerville, Fairfield, Fort Madison, Grinnell, Keokuk, Knoxville, Lisbon, Mount Pleasant, Notre Dame, Oskaloosa, and Pella. Washington is coming off of a Southeast Conference title last week and their 326 average for 18-holes ranks second in the state. Kiki Bruner has the best individual average in the regional with 76 on the season.
The meet gets underway at 10 a.m. this morning in Oskaloosa.
