A bridge replacement project has been completed near Wellman. A bridge over Smith Creek on 130th Street was replaced, as stated by the Washington County Engineer’s Office. The new structure is a 100’x30′ pretensioned, prestressed concrete beam bridge. Work was done by Iowa Bridge and Culvert of Washington. Their project bid was just over $526,000. Work began in October of 2020.
