After weather derailed the end of the week for the Hillcrest baseball team, the Ravens are scheduled to be back on the diamond tonight when they host Louisa-Muscatine. Hillcrest is 0-1 on the year after dropping their opener to Highland on Tuesday 5-2. They were rained out Thursday at Danville and Friday at Lone Tree. In their loss to the Huskies, the Ravens were led by a pair of hits from Jace Rempel, an RBI from Josiah Beachy and London Schrock’s four innings on the mound giving up five hits and one run. The Ravens are hitting .208 as a team with a 5.00 ERA.

Louisa-Muscatine is 1-1 on the year. They opened with a win over Winfield-Mt. Union 4-1 before a 15-5 loss to Highland. The Falcons are hitting .347 as a team with a 5.92 ERA. At the plate they are led by Jared Woerly hitting .667 with four total hits and three RBI. Woerly is also best on the hill, working four and two thirds innings without allowing a run and a 1-0 record. These two teams have split their last 20 meetings with Hillcrest winning four straight in the series including an 8-4 win last season. Action starts tonight at 7p.m. at Hillcrest Academy.
