Two vehicles were totaled in a collision near Olds Wednesday.

At about 5:42 p.m. 18-year-old Rachel Thomas of Fairfield was driving a Honda Accord southbound on Highway 218 when 81-year-old Wilma Savage of Danville was driving a Ford Escape westbound on Highway 78, according to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office. Savage drove into cross traffic and was struck on the passenger side of her vehicle. When the Sheriff’s Office responded the Escape was found facing southbound on the shoulder of Highway 218 and the Accord was facing northbound across the center of Highway 78. Savage was cited for failing to yield at a right of way.
