The cities that comprise the Mid-Prairie School District are hosting a summer program to help fight food insecurity. In Kalona, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, meals are available from 11:30a.m. to 1:30p.m. in the KCTC meeting room on B Avenue. In Wellman, meals are available in the basement of City Hall, 316 8th Avenue, Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon to 1p.m. In West Chester, you can contact the West Chester Lions Club at 319-461-3694. Food bags will also be made available at any time for pickup at the Kalona and Wellman Libraries, Kalona or Wellman City Hall, Wellman Skating Rink or Exporter Elevator in West Chester.
