Round two between #15 in class 1A Winfield-Mt. Union and #2 in 2A Louisa-Muscatine was as good as advertised on the softball field in Winfield last night, but for the second straight time the Falcons emerged victorious.

After scoring in the bottom half of the fifth, the Wolves held a 5-4 advantage until the seventh when Louisa-Muscatine scratched across a pair to escape town with a 6-5 win. WMU scattered nine hits with Carlee Sloan, Molly Miller, and Madie Anderson each having two knocks while Jobey Malone brought in two runs. Anderson threw all seven in the circle giving up six runs (four earned), eight hits, two walks, and striking out 10. The Wolves are now 9-3 on the season and 7-2 in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference.

The Falcon baseball team (4-5) put up a 10 spot in the sixth inning en route to an 18-3 victory over the Wolves. WMU drops to 1-12 overall and 1-11 in the league.
