Emergency crews responded to an incident outside Federation Bank in
Washington Tuesday.
Washington Fire Chief Brendan DeLong tells KCII that crews were paged
at about 9:45 a.m. for a contractor who was suffering from a medical
issue on scaffolding outside the third floor of the bank building.
Crews were on scene and traffic was blocked for an hour on Iowa Avenue
between Main and 2nd streets as a ladder truck was used to rescue the
patient. The man was then transported to Washington County Hospital
and Clinics. The Washington fire and police departments and Washington
County Ambulance Service responded to the scene.
