The Mid-Prairie School Board discussed plans for projects this summer and future assessments at their recent meeting. Projects that will be tackled this summer include replacement of flooring in elementary school classrooms, ventilator replacements at West Elementary in Wellman, replacement of HVAC controls at Mid-Prairie Middle School and various painting projects at buildings throughout the district.

Keeping an eye to the future, the district is participating in a plans and needs assessment. Matt Gillaspie with Piper Sandler Companies will attend the June 28th school board meeting to discuss bond strategies for top rated projects determined by the facilities committee. The plan is for representatives from Carl A. Nelson & Company to meet with the board during their July or August meeting.
