The Hillcrest Academy baseball and softball teams will look to get back on the winning track tonight when they host the Mediapolis Bulldogs and Bullettes in Southeast Iowa Superconference action. Hillcrest baseball 7-6 on the season after 7-3 loss to L-M last night where they were led by Josiah Beachy with two RBI. As a team, the Ravens are hitting .330 with an ERA of 3.76. Individually, the Ravens are led by Luke Schrock hitting .478 with 22 total hits and 15 RBI. On the mound, Seth Ours and Liam Schrock are a combined 3-0. Eli Ours is 2-1 with a 2.95ERA.

Mediapolis is 13-6 overall. They beat Highland last night 2-1. On the year, MEPO is hitting .345 as a team with an ERA of 3.61. Individually, the Bulldogs are led by Jaxon Brooks with a .457 average and 20 RBI. On the mound it’s Brooks with a 3-0 record and 1.29 ERA along with Ryan Ensminger with a 0.42 ERA and 2-0 record. These two teams met earlier this season with Mediapolis taking a 6-2 win, the Bulldogs have won 14 of the last 15.

The Hillcrest softball team is 0-14 coming into tonight after dropping both ends of a doubleheader to Louisa-Muscatine on the road Monday. For the year, the Ravens are hitting .255 as a team with a staff ERA of 9.93. Individually, Hillcrest is led by Madeline Fox with a .407 average and 11 total hits. In the circle, Leah Bontrager has thrown 52 innings with an 0-11 record and 11.04 ERA. Mediapolis is 1-17 on the year. Last night they were beaten 4-0 by Highland. On the season, Bullettes are hitting .255 as a team with an overall ERA of 8.67. Individually, MEPO is led by Hallie Mohr with a .385 average with 20 hits and eight RBI. In the circle, Mohr is 1-11 with a 7.44 ERA in 70 innings. These two teams met on June 3rd with Mediapolis taking an 18-8 win.
