The Riverside City Council approved the appointment of a new council member during their Monday meeting. 

Four community members expressed interest with Kevin Mills being chosen to fill the seat vacated by Jeanine Redlinger. Mills has been a member of the community since 1980 and is retired. Mills’ term ends this year, and he says he plans to run for election this November.
