The Hillcrest Academy Raven summer sports teams are looking to get back to action Monday when they host Wapello in Southeast Iowa Superconference play. After rain cancelled multiple games last week Hillcrest is trying to get in their first baseball game since Lousa-Muscatine Monday and their first softball game since Mediapolis Wednesday. The Raven baseball team is 7-6 on the season. L-M beat them in Letts a week ago 7-3. For the year, Hillcrest is hitting .330 as a team with an overall ERA of 3.76. Individually, the Ravens are led by Luke Schrock hitting .478 with a team best 22 total hits. Seth Ours and Liam Schrock are a combined 3-0 with a 1.85ERA. Eli Ours is 2-1 in 19 innings with a 2.95 ERA.

Wapello is 7-9 on the season. They were 5-4 winners over Highland last time out and have taken three straight. On the season the Indians are hitting .301 as a team with a staff ERA of 7.48. Individually the Indians are paced by Tate Kronfeldt with a .390 average with 16 hits and 10RBI. On the mound Chase Witte is 2-1 with a 2.76 ERA in 33 innings. These two teams met on June 7th in Wapello with the Ravens winning 24-9. Hillcrest has won six straight in the series.

It’s Senior Night tonight for the Hillcrest softball team. They enter the evening with an overall record of 0-16 after a 13-1 loss to Pekin on Thursday. For the year, the Ravens are hitting .279 with an ERA of 10.93. Individually, the Ravens are led by Evelyn Gerber with a .467 average on 14 hits with five runs scored. In the circle, Leah Bontrager has worked 65 innings with an 0-14 record and 12.21 ERA.

Wapello comes in with a mark of 15-6. The Arrows have won three straight, including a 2-1 victory over North Linn last time out. For the season, Wapello is hitting .324 as a team with an ERA of 2.92. Individually, they are led by Sammy Ewart with a .522 average, 24 hits, 21 runs scored and 12 driven in. In the circle, Aliyah Lolling is 10-3 with a 2.78 ERA in 83 innings. The Arrows have won 11 straight in the series. This will be a softball doubleheader tonight in Kalona. The Ravens will honor seniors Meredith Blossom, Yani Gutierrez, Sarah Miller and Madeline Fox. Game one begins at 5:30 in Kalona.
