A Kalona man was recently arrested on a Washington County warrant.

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy located 28-year-old Kendall Wayne Hammes at about 9 p.m. Thursday, according to the Washington County Communications Center. Hammes faces charges of animal abuse and reckless use of a firearm. Hammes was transported to the Washington County Jail to be held on a $2,300 bond.
