Independence Day is a day to remember and celebrate the beginning of our nation. In observance of Independence Day, many businesses and offices will be closed on Monday, July 5th. Kalona, Riverside and Wellman City Halls will be closed along with the Kalona and Wellman-Scofield public libraries. City Council meetings will also be moved to either Tuesday or Wednesday of this coming week. Garbage pickup in the City of Kalona and Riverside will remain on schedule for Monday.
