The Mid-Prairie boys soccer team had another strong season in 2021 and two members of the squad were awarded by the Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Association with All-State spots. Golden Hawk senior Ethan Trimpe was a second team all-state selection on defense. Trimpe was part of a Golden Hawk defense that allowed 22 goals in 16 games in the past year, including eight shut outs. On the offensive side of the ball, Trimpe ended with a team best nine assists, sixth most in the River Valley Conference.
Junior Jack Pennington was an honorable mention all-state selection. He finished with 14 goals, second most for the Hawks and seventh in the RVC, to go along with six assists.
Mid-Prairie finished with an 11-5 overall record, advancing to the class 1A substate final.
