The tall task of facing off with #7 New London was the challenge for the Keota baseball team on Monday and they closed the regular season with a 12-0 loss.
The Eagles could muster up only two hits in the five inning affair with Carson Sprouse and Max Johnson connecting on singles. Aidan Anderson tossed one inning giving up nine runs (six earned) on seven hits and Sprouse gave up three tallies (one earned) on three knocks. Carter Allen was the winning Tiger (21-1) pitcher and tossed five shutout frames surrendering just two hits and two walks.
Keota closes the regular season 15-7 and they start up the class 1A districts tomorrow in New London against Danville (5-13).
