keokuk-co-expo-2021

The Keokuk County Expo is ready to go with a full list of activities to enjoy.

Starting off Monday will be the exhibit judging from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with entry submission for the 4-H flower container contest at 5 p.m. The rest of the week will include the horse and pony show, dog obedience show, llama show, pet show, rabbit show and AG Mechanics judging. Pony rides, face painting, baby contest, carnival and Little Mr. and Miss contest will also take place throughout the week. Tuesday will have free breakfast available with lunch and dinner options available Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Alisca deRegnier, head of the planning committee for the county expo, encourages everyone to come down everyday to see something new, “I think we’re one of the few fairs that don’t charge a daily entry fee. So if you want to come and walk around, go to the barn, watch the shows you can do that for absolutely free. So I would encourage anybody in the community to come everyday. Come down, watch the animals that are being shown, walk through the exhibit buildings. You’re bound to see something you didn’t see the day before if you come everyday.”

A complete schedule for activities and locations can be found at the Keokuk County Expo Fair website or this story at kciiradio.com. KCII will be broadcasting live from noon-4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the Keokuk County Expo in Sigourney as part of the Big Red Radio Summer Town Tour.
