One person was injured in a single vehicle rollover near West Chester Thursday.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle that rolled over at about 10:14 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 92 and Juniper Avenue. One person was transported by the Washington County Ambulance Service to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. A brindle colored pitbull also ran from the vehicle. Citations will be issued for 27-year-old Jovany Reyes Espinoza for failure to maintain control, no seat belt, no insurance, and driving while barred. Charges are pending for operating while intoxicated.

Washington Fire, Rescue and EMS and West Chester QRS assisted at the scene.
