Friday night will be a Golden Hawk showcase at Mid-Prairie High School with the annual Gator Bowl and Fall Sports kickoff event.

Activities get underway at 5:30 with recognition of Mid-Prairie activities including a performance from the Golden Hawk dance team, skit and performance by the speech and drama clubs, and introduction of the cross country and volleyball rosters. The football player auction fundraiser will be from 6-7:30 with the Mid-Prairie football team hosting West Liberty for an official scrimmage from 7:30-9 at Dwight G. Sattler Field. Admission to the event is a sports drink and concessions will be available.

Mid-Prairie will have official competition for all three of their fall sports beginning next week with the volleyball team traveling to the Keota Tournament Monday, the cross country team opens the year at the Iowa City West Invitational at the Kickers Complex Thursday and the Golden Hawk football team begins 2021 on Friday when they host the West Burlington Notre Dame Falcons in Wellman.
