A public restroom at East Lake Park in Mount. Pleasant was destroyed in a fire Tuesday.

The Mount Pleasant Police and fire departments were advised of a fire at the East Lake Park bathroom at 12:16 a.m. on August 31st. The restroom closest to Iris Road was found to be fully engulfed in flames and is considered a total loss. An investigation is currently underway for the cause of the fire.
