Invading Winfield and coming away with a road Southeast Iowa Super Conference volleyball victory is exactly what Wapello did on Tuesday when they got past the home Wolves in four sets.
WMU took a hard fought game one by a 25-21 final, but the Arrows (11-7) rattled off three straight to close the match with scores of 25-17, 25-21, and 25-13. In the loss, Bradie Buffington led the Wolves with nine kills, Keely Malone dished out 26 assists, Melina Oepping was successful on 13 of 14 serve attempts with three aces, and Keetyn Townsley racked up 51 digs.
WMU drops to 4-3 overall, 1-1 in the SEISC, and they return to the court Saturday at Wilton for a tournament.
