The 2021 Homecoming schedule and courts are set for the WACO and Sigourney school districts.
Students nominated to the WACO homecoming court are Lilly Clark, Jaicey Miller, Maggie Rinner, Zach Schmitz, Jonah Egli, and Jonah Clark. Today’s festivities include dress like a farmer day and the freshman and sophomore volleyball tournament. Tomorrow’s theme will be senior citizens day with the varsity Esports game versus Williamsburg at 4 p.m. and the junior high and JV football games at 4:30 and 6. Wednesday’s dress up day will be movie themed and Boom Night will take place at 6:30 p.m. where the king and queen will be crowned. Thursday is WACO spirit day, Friday will close out homecoming week with a parade at 5 p.m., varsity football game versus Iowa Valley at 7 p.m. and a high school dance after the game.
“No Place Like Homecoming” is the theme for Sigourney’s homecoming week. Nominated to the court are Cade Molyneux, Bo Scmidt, Aidan Schuster, Zach Smithart, Madison Richards, Madelynn Hornback, Reagan Talbert and Sophie Whitmore. Today’s theme is Munchkin Monday where students can dress as themselves from elementary school. Tomorrow’s theme will be a fashion disaster with Tornado Tuesday. Wednesday will be twin day with the “Which Witch is Which?” theme. The homecoming parade will take place Wednesday night at 7 p.m. followed by Boom Night. Thursday’s dress up day will feature ruby slippers versus Kansas flannel where students can show off their best “meeting the wizard” or “ready for a day on the farm” outfit. Friday is spirit day with the varsity football match-up versus Pleasantville. Saturday night will bring homecoming week to an end with a formal dance from 8-II p.m. in the high school gym.
