A Washington man was arrested for a domestic abuse incident Sunday.
The criminal complaint shows that at about 9:02 p.m. the Washington Police Department was called to a residence in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in regards to an assault. The victim stated that she and 41-year-old Nicholas Edward Furman had been arguing and when she tried walking past him he shoved her back, leaving scratch marks on her arm and had headbutted her. When asked about the incident Furman said nothing physical had occurred. He has three previous domestic abuse assault convictions from March 2020, March 2019, and April 2011. Furman was arrested and charged with domestic abuse assault third or subsequent offense, a class D felony. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
