The KCII Home Shopping Extravaganza begins today, with deals on gift certificates, products, and more available from businesses and organizations across southeast Iowa.

KCII will be taking calls from 10 a.m.-noon, 1-5 and 6-7 p.m. today, and for a new streamlined process callers will be asked to give their full name before getting on the air in order to more quickly keep track of their purchases. KCII General Manager Joe Nichols says discounts vary throughout the next few days for different types of goods and services, “The discounts will be 30% or more, it varies throughout the event so you have to be paying attention to where we are at with some of the percentages off but everything will be 30% off or better. We’ve got obviously a whole variety of things from oil changes to hair cuts, groceries, meat bundles, dog and pet grooming stuff. There’s just such a wide variety, we really try to work with a lot of our area businesses so we can cover about anybody’s wants and needs when it comes to what you might be doing.”

Nichols reminds callers that phone lines will frequently be busy but to keep trying to get through, and typically the best time to call is when another caller on air hangs up. The Home Shopping Extravaganza lasts through Thursday. For more information and a list of items visit here.
