The Hillcrest Academy Raven Volleyball team made quick work of visiting Rivermont Collegiate Monday at Hillcrest Union on Senior Night. The Ravens swept the Lions by scores of 25-4, 25-10 and 25-2. After the match the five seniors on this year’s Raven squad, Grace Miller, Norah Yoder, Evelyn Gerber, Esther Hughes and Kyleigh Dolan talked about the night and season so far. “We were excited coming into the year with a new coach that can provide new opportunities and winning more. We were excited for all of the incoming players and to play with a new team and have a new beginning. I think the most memorable moment so far this year was winning the first home game of our careers and getting to run through the student section tunnel. Tonight was a little emotional because it was Senior Night but overall we were very excited. It felt great to win and get to enjoy Senior Night together.”

Hillcrest was led by nine kills from Hughes. With the win, the Ravens are now 6-18. They host Winfield-Mt. Union Thursday.
