The Washington County Board of Health officially narrowed down its applicants to five for a new public health administrator Tuesday.
During a special meeting they approved the final applicants to interview on Saturday October 16th. There will be a morning and afternoon session of interviews, with the morning consisting of five panels of three to four individuals for 20 minute interviews and then 30 minute interviews with the board in the afternoon. Possibilities for the panels include Environmental Health Director Jason Taylor, Washington County Emergency Management Coordinator Marissa Reisen, Washington Economic Development Group Executive Director Mary Audia, four public health staff members, and superintendents or nurses from the county’s school districts. The board then anticipates extending the job offer during their next regular meeting on October 21st, with a possible special meeting scheduled afterwards to approve the hire. Jefferson County Public Health Administrator Chris Estle is currently serving as interim administrator through a 28E agreement that’s currently set to end in December.
