A trip to Fort Madison was in store for the WACO volleyball team on Thursday night with a conference bout against Holy Trinity and the Warriors fell in four sets.

The Warriors came out of the gates strong with a close 25-23 win in the first only to have the perennial power that is the Crusaders bounce back for three straight wins. Set scores in the final three included 25-14, 25-13, and 25-18. Katie Leichty led the offense with 10 kills and Emma Wagler added seven. Grace Coble finished with 26 assists while Jocelyn Fulton managed 27 digs and Ellah Kissell had 23.

WACO drops to 16-9 overall, 2-3 in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference, and they get back on the court Tuesday against New London.
