The final home match of the season was needed confidence for the Columbus Community volleyball team on Tuesday when they downed Louisa-Muscatine in four sets to cap off Southeast Iowa Super Conference play.
The Wildcats won the area bout with scores of 25-18, 17-25, 26-24, and 25-23. Victoria Howell delivered 16 kills to lead the offense and Sera Vela recorded 20 assists. Faith Barnhart had a pair of blocks, Howell had six digs, and Miriam Ruvacalba and Aracely Garza combined for 21 aces.
Columbus closes the conference slate 2-6, sixth in the division. They are now 4-19 overall and travel to Washington (5-21) tomorrow.
