It was a tall task for the Washington volleyball team on Monday when they traveled to #4 West Liberty for a first round class 3A regional game and the Demons were swept to end their season.

The Comets (35-4) handled each set with scores of 25-7, 25-8, and 25-13. Macy Daufeldt led West Liberty with 10 kills and Monica Morales had 19 digs. The Comets advance to play Mid-Prairie in tonight’s regional semifinal. Washington concludes the season 7-23 and they graduate six seniors in Emma Stalder, Olivia Hamilton, RyLee Fishback, Ava Turner, Ella Leyden, and Allyson Wenger.
