The city and school election is less than two weeks away, and voters in the Washington Community School District can get to know the candidates running for two board seats during a special edition news magazine tonight.
KCII is hosting a candidate forum for school board candidates Kendra DeWolf and Mindi Rees who are running for the District 5 seat currently held by Heidi Vittetoe, and Johnathan Bartholomew and Michael Liska who are running for an at-large seat held by Jason Hamilton. The candidates will each be asked a set of eight questions designed to help voters choose the candidates they feel will best serve the needs of the district, its staff, and students. This forum will be airing exclusively at 7 p.m. tonight on FM 106.1, 102.5 and AM1380, KCII, and streaming on our mobile app and at kciiradio.com. Following the broadcast you can find the program by going to the Listen Live page and clicking the On Demand button. Polls are open from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 2nd, and mailed absentee ballots must be received by the auditor’s office when polls close Election Day.
