A single-vehicle crash north of Wayland sent one person to the hospital yesterday.

The Washington County Communications Center received a report at approximately 7:42 a.m. of a vehicle in the ditch at 2519 320th Street. The vehicle did not roll over but the juvenile driver was injured and trapped. The driver was removed and transported by Washington County Ambulance Service to Washington County Hospital and Clinics. Wayland Fire and QRS, Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Rescue, Iowa Department of Transportation, and Breuer Towing in Mount Pleasant also responded to the scene. No citations were issued.
