pennington-catch

Golden Hawk wide receiver Jack Pennington is inking his name onto the pages of the Mid-Prairie record book in his first year as a full-time starter. The Golden Hawk senior has pulled in a team best 29 catches for 305 yards and four touchdowns in 2021. Those four scoring grabs are eighth most in a single season in Golden Hawk history. His yardage total is just outside of the top 10 for a single year and his catch total is 12th in school history for a single season.

For his career, seeing limited field time as a junior, Pennington has accumulated 35 catches for 359 yards and five total touchdowns. Those numbers leave him 10th for career scoring catches, and just outside the top 15 in total yards and receptions. Pennington and the rest of the Golden Hawks will have another chance to add to their stats on Friday in the second round of the class 2A playoffs when they travel to State Center to meet No. 3 West Marshall. We’ll have all of the action for you live on AM 1380, FM 102.5 and KCIIradio.com, beginning with the Washington HyVee pregame show at 6:30 and Systems Unlimited kickoff at 7p.m.
