The Hillcrest Academy volleyball team set new records from the service line and front row in 2021. The Ravens set a new high water mark for aces per set during their recent campaign. Hillcrest averaged 6.3 aces per set during the recently completed season, blasting the previous mark of 5.12 set in 1982 and matched in 1987. The Ravens finished with a total of 201 aces on the season, led by Malia Yoder’s 50, 47 for Esther Hughes, 25 for Vlada Conea, Norah Yoder’s 24 and Kylee Statler with 21.

The Raven offense also put together the best season on record for kills in a set, averaging 14.8, beating the previous record of 10.32 set in 1999. Hughes led Hillcrest with 177 kills, Conea finished with 98 and Malia Yoder 93. Hillcrest Academy ended the season with a 10-22 record. Their highest win total since 2018.
